Wheat tells how playing for legendary coach Denny Crum has helped shape how he relates to players in his first year as a college head coach. Wheat finished his career at U of L, which ran from 1993-97, as the second-leading scorer in program history behind Darrell Griffith, but he explains why he rarely brings up his playing days to his current team. Wheat also discusses why his mission at Simmons stretches beyond X's and O's with 10 players on his roster who were out of basketball last season.
